In 1875, Johannes Link, a skilled worker and tanner, set up a small drum and drum skateboard workshop in eastern Germany. From this simple start, he created such a brilliant business that at the end of the century he produced a wide range of instrumental compositions. In 1907, the Sunure brand was registered through the royal privilege office. In about 1925, Sonor had 145 members and was one of the largest businesses of its kind. After the end of the Second World War, the East German Government confiscated the family property, and Sonor became part of the state assets. However, in 1946, a new company was set up by the founder's son Otto Link and his son Hearst. This time the company was located in West Germany. Today, Sunor has become a modern organization focusing on global markets. Although the latest technologies have come in the form of sonar production, the Sonor Voice still retains its voice. This code is rooted in very precise attention to the smallest details and the commitment of its founder to maintain a consistently high quality level.

In the domain of dash instruments, xylophones, metalophones and santurs, Sunor has created a gigantic growth in the standard of quality. Concert and march instruments have also seen remarkable progress. Sonoor's drums and hardware are continually getting excellent results in drum and percussion magazine test reports. Sonaure won the German Design Award in 1994 for the first time in the music industry. But while acquiring all these certifications and achievements, a key element is always fixed: Sonur's commitment to delivering sound at the best possible basis.
