Nitrogen gas

Nitrogen is mainly extracted from air separation factories where air is converted into liquid and then into nitrogen, oxygen and argon. If high purity nitrogen is required, the produced nitrogen may require secondary purification. Lower purity nitrogen can be produced by membrane techniques and medium to higher purity by surface adsorption (PSA) techniques.

Applications of nitrogen gas:
Nitrogen is used in large quantities in the chemical industry to cover, clean and transfer pressure from flammable chemicals.
High purity nitrogen is used extensively by the semiconductor industry as a carrier or purge gas, as well as blanketing equipment such as furnaces when they are not operating.
Nitrogen is used as a purge and typically as a carrier gas in gas chromatography.
Nitrogen is used as a zero gas for analytical equipment and tools. It is also used as a balance gas in gas mixtures. It is used in the electronics industry to neutralize interwoven reactors.
Nitrogen along with carbon dioxide mixture is used to package modified barley in food.
Nitrogen is widely used, either pure or normally mixed with reducing gases such as hydrogen or natural gas, to provide an oxygen-free atmosphere during the heat treatment of various metals.
Nitrogen is used in the Bosch-Haber process to produce ammonia.
Nitrogen is used as a fire extinguishing gas in mines.
Nitrogen is used to fill tires to reduce wear and tear and limit the risk of explosion.

Liquid nitrogen, nitrogen gas:

It is used in cold traps to improve the efficiency and productivity of vacuum pumps by condensing or solidifying residual gases in vacuum.
It is used for shrinking and correct placement of sensitive small parts.
It is used for freezing sensitive foods such as hamburgers, strawberries, shrimps, etc.
It is used in the nuclear industry for scientific research.
It may also be used for cryogenic wear of tires and some other chemical products.
It is used to store biological materials such as tissue, cells, etc.
It is used for cryogenic surgery.
It is used at the level of superconductors.
