The Bell 212 (Bell 212) named Twin Huey is a two-mech, two-engine, multi-purpose helicopter designed and manufactured by Bell's Helicopter Company. The first flight of Bell 212 took place in 1968. It was originally produced in Texas USA and then in 1988 in Quebec, Canada. The Bell 212 design began on the basis of the enlargement of the Bell 205 and was initially developed for the Canadian Army. The first flight of Bell 212 was carried out in 1968 and developed in 1971 for civilian customers. In June 1977, Bell 212 became the first American helicopter to get the necessary permits to fly on the sea with an automatic pilot system. In 1979, with the sale of 8 B-212 bombers to China, the helicopter became the first American helicopter to go to China. The latest version of Bell 212 was sold in 1998. The dual-engine helicopter can continue to fly with another engine, even if one of the engines is lost. The 212 can also carry 2,668 kg of Cargo Hook. The ability to install a hoist with a capacity of 272 kg is another feature of this aircraft.
