Segment molds are said to be multi-piece molds that come together in a couple of tungsten carbides and fit into two steel shells. Segment templates are widely used in the industry and have simple and complex shapes. In general, the segment family consists of the following three main groups: Equal centered segments like squares; Equal and non-centered rectangles like a rectangle with two small sides of a circle.
