Ferrous sulfate is used to treat and prevent iron deficiency anemia.

The mechanism of the work

Ferrous sulfate with formula (FeSO4) can compensate for the possible deficiency of iron to make for red blood cells. It has been produced in combination with many substances such as vitamin C, folic acid and multivitamin, and so on.

side effects

Nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, allergy to the drug, burning and stomach ache, tooth discolouration (oral intake) and injection site abscess.
