Square single channel terminal (Single Duct VAV Box). The basic unit of this type of variable air volume terminal includes a damper, a flow sensor, and can be equipped with different control equipment according to the user. These terminals adjust the volume of air needed in the room according to the feedback received from the thermostat inside the room. These terminals are able to deliver hot and cold air to the space at the same time. In situations where such terminals are used to control hot and cold air, a dual-function thermostat and an air temperature sensor must be used at the entrance, as well as controls for changing the system from cooling to heating and vice versa. Usually, the variable air volume terminal is used in the interior spaces of buildings that have a constant cooling load and do not need heating, as well as the interior spaces of buildings that have a constant cooling load and do not need heating.
