Two-channel variable volume terminal without mixing in the terminal (Dual Duct VAV Box Non Mixing). This type of terminal is actually two single-channel units placed next to each other. One of the units is intended for the entry of hot air and the other for the entry of cold air. Each of these units separately has an air intake duct as well as an intake air volume control system including damper, actuator, flow sensor and other required controllers according to its type of use.
This terminal adjusts the volume of passing hot or cold air (without mixing) according to the feedback received from the room thermostat. The volume of incoming air may be variable (minimum value created by the mixing of two hot and cold air streams) or fixed. The two-channel variable volume terminal without mixing in the terminal is used in the internal and external spaces of buildings (such as hospitals) where hot and cold loads are considered at the same time, on the other hand, it is not possible to use a hot water coil for reheating.
