Laboratory gas mixture

gas mix p10 (piten)

Made from a mixture of 10% Methne Gas and 90% Argon Gas

P10 gas is colorless, odorless and heavier than air due to the high percentage of methane in P10 gas, this gas is flammable and may accumulate in closed spaces. P10 gas mixtures are used in material analysis devices by XRF and X-ray fluorescence spectroscopy is used, which is widely used in industry and research centers. This gas may react strongly with oxidants and oxidizing substances.
P10 gas applications

For X-ray analyzers
In chromatography devices
ECD electron absorption detector
Carrier gas in nuclear energy industry
It is also useful in the analysis of XRF elements.

P10 gas standard and safety

For p10 gas cylinders, due to their inflammability, left round valves should be used. The cylinder valves intended for these cylinders are DIN 1 and BS3 valves. P10 gas cylinders are available in volumes of 5.10.20.40 and 50 liters can be provided with a pressure of 150 bar. According to the standard, the color of the P10 gas cylinder is gray and the blue throat is the symbol of argon gas and the red band is the symbol of methane gas and the inflammability of this gas.
Caution in maintaining gas cylinders P10

Cylinders containing P10 gas should be stored in an environment below 50 degrees Celsius and away from flammable materials.
Cylinders should be stored vertically and in a safe place to prevent overturning.
Cylinders must have cylinder valve protective caps.
Never transfer gas from P10 gas cylinder to another cylinder.
The cylinder must have a safety label and the characteristics of the gas inside the cylinder.
