SF6 gas is a reaction product of sulfur and fluorine. In fact, under certain conditions, these two elements react and produce sulfur hexafluoride. This reaction is the same process used by Henri Moussan and Paul Libaut in 1901.

It should be mentioned that SF-six gas does not have any chemical activity, but there are exceptions, for example, it reacts exothermically with lithium.
