Butane

Butane with the molecular formula C4H10 is in the hydrocarbon family of alkanes. Butane gas is a mixture of natural gas. Butane gas can be produced from crude oil in a very small amount. Butane is usually added to gasoline to improve its performance. It should be mentioned that butane gas is used in the production of lighter gas, as well as other applications such as use in heating and refrigeration systems.

Butane consists of four carbon atoms and ten hydrogen atoms, which are connected to each other by single bonds. The shape of this molecule is linear. This molecule is very similar to normal butane. It is natural butane. Butane has a similar family called isobutane, which is usually an alternative in cooling systems. Butane gas is combined with propane and LPG is obtained.
Preparation of butane gas

Butane gas can be extracted from natural gas. Of course, it should be mentioned that the amount of butane gas produced in natural gas is much lower than methane and ethane. Natural gas includes hydrocarbons such as butane gas. Also, butane can be extracted as a solution in crude oil (LPG) or in crude oil caps separately. In addition to butane gas, the extracted natural gas also contains impurities such as hydrogen sulfide and carbon dioxide. In fact, the amount of butane produced from natural gas depends on its gas field. After passing through the collection station, the gases released from the gas field are directed to the gas refinery and butane gas is prepared.
