Liquid nitrogen tanks

Liquid nitrogen tanks are divided into three categories. Tanks that have laboratory use with volume, tanks that have laboratory or industrial use with medium volume, and tanks that have industrial use with high consumption volume.

The first type of tanks are also called flask or cryopack. The capacity range of these tanks is from 1 liter to about 50 liters. These tanks are made of aluminum and have a very low working pressure.

The second type of tank is called Dewar. The volume of these tanks is from 100 liters to about 400 liters. In addition to storing liquid nitrogen, these tanks are also used to store oxygen, argon and carbon dioxide. The body of these tanks is made of stainless steel and their working pressure is from 2 bar to about 24 bar.

The third type of tanks are used to store liquid nitrogen in volumes of more than one ton. The volume of these tanks ranges from 1 ton to 100 tons and even more in some cases. The new generation of these tanks are called cryogenic tanks. Cryogenic tanks have two steel layers, which are covered with insulation between these two layers to minimize heat transfer. These tanks are horizontal and vertical.

In addition, these tanks are also used to move liquid nitrogen.
