These vitamins are soluble in vitamins and stored in the liver and adipose tissue.
Vitamin A plays an important role in protecting the lining and body tissues of the organs. It also plays an important role in visual acuity, reproduction, bone growth and immune function. The complications of this vitamin deficiency include blindness, skin disorders, increased risk of infection, drowsiness, and reduced reproductive performance.
Vitamin D3: This vitamin prevents bone loss by increasing calcium and phosphorus intake. Deficiency of this vitamin causes rickets disease in young animals and osteomalacia in adult animals. The presence of this vitamin is essential for absorption of calcium and phosphorus in the gastrointestinal tract.
Vitamin E: This vitamin acts as a physiological antioxidant in the body, which neutralizes free radicals and thus prevents oxidation of unsaturated fatty acids. It also plays a role in reproductive function and regulation of cellular oxidation. The deficiency of this vitamin causes muscular dystrophy and heart muscle wasting, especially in young animals. Lack of vitamin C deficiency causes the immune system to weaken.
