Melard Agriculture and Technology Co. is one of the most advanced and equipped centers for producing fresh mushrooms and canned mushrooms in Iran, which holds most of the country's mushroom sales market.
The construction of this farm began in 1364 in the city of Malard, located 10 kilometers south of Karaj, 45 kilometers west of Tehran. Initially, 13 plants were cultivated and produced 200 tons of fungi per year. Also, the seedlings of Phase I seedlings were developed in the area of the farm. In the early years of Phase II operations, seedling mushroom growing or pasteurization and conditioning were carried out in breeding grounds that caused damage to the buildings and cultivations, and, on the other hand, slowed down the productivity of the product.
