What is melamine?
Melamine is a type of plastic, usually it's in powder form. It consists of alpha cellulose, melamine crystal, and formaldehyde solvent.
Properties of melamine are heat resistance, hardness, durability and break resistance. It is safe for temperature up to 120º. C.
Melamine has been widely used in many industries. Because of its harmless nature, it is widely used to produce kitchen utensils and tableware such as plates, bell jars, cups and spoons etc.
What is high quality melamine tableware?

The manufacturing process:
First step ----- molding
You see there are two machine here, one is hydraulic machine, other is high frequency preheating machine.
When we start production we need:
1. Weigh the material
2. Put the powder in the high frequency preheating machine to coagulate the powder
3. Put the curdled powder on the mold, press and molding, then add the protective powder on the tableware making it lighter and shine, look like ceramic.
This is a normal practice
4. If you want to the decal on the tableware, there are two further steps: Put the decal on the tableware and press again to have the decal attached to the tableware, the second step is sprinkle a little protective powder on the tableare, to make its surface more brighting, and can protect the decal keep away from falling off.
Second Step First QC (Sign Check)
This step washes out some defective products
Third step grinding and polishing
When the product shape from the mold, there will be a rough edge of the circle, we will use the grinding machine to make the rough edge smooth (we become two grinding time: the rough grinding and refine the grinding.
After grinding step, we will polish the edge the surface to make the tableware shinier.
Fourth step ----- QC
In this step we wash out any defect happen in grinding and polishing, as well as the defective problem that was not found out in first QC.
Fifth step ---- packing
We always use the good quality cardboard box to pack the products. We will pack some PCS in the inner box then put all the inner box in the carton.
