Guangzhou Mechanical Engineering Research Institute (GMERI) has been established since the year of 1959, and is a first grade comprehensive research institute directly under the former Ministry of Machinery Industry. GMERI is the expert in seals and lubrication. It has won awards as scientific research achievements for more than 1000 projects and over 200 of them won the scientific and technological progress awards from municipal, provincial, ministerial and national levels. At the same time, GMERI also has a National Certified Laboratory, National Engineering Research Centers, and three Industry-level Inspection Centers.
