Chengdu Newsun has set up a Biotechnology Research Institute. As of March 31, 2020, it has 54 full-time R&D personnel, including 23 doctors and masters, and 16 personnel with medium and senior titles. The Biotechnology Research Institute has set up three creation centers of "Biological Regulation Technology", "Biological Prevention and Control Pesticide" and "Soil Repair and Nutrition Technology" and "Crop Immune Gene Editing Technology Laboratory", and established a research and development system guided by four experts, Duan Liusheng, Xu Minggang, Guo Jinlin and Li Jianzhong, as the chief scientists.
