About us :
Some say cooperatives are old-fashioned. But as a cooperative, we Schrozberg dairy farmers have all the decisions in our own hands and do not have to consider either banks or shareholders. We determine how we do business and what innovations we invest in. Our decisions should primarily benefit the quality of our products. Today, our dairy processes around 29 million kg of milk in accordance with the strict Demeter guidelines and offers the largest range of Demeter dairy products worldwide. We are 105 certified Demeter farms. Together we are the Schrozberger Milchbauern, an independent cooperative in which every farm is unique. No two farms are alike. Here the heavy clay steams from the rain on the fields, there pasque flower and thyme sway in the wind on the juniper heather. It is only our soils and our regional climate that determine what we grow and how we do business. As Schrozberg dairy farmers, we stand for this special diversity. On our farms, this diversity means for us: everyone does what their heart beats for and what best reflects the particularities of the respective regions. Together we adhere to the strict Demeter guidelines. But that's not all: Each of our farms further develops these ideas based on experience, just as it suits them. However, there are no strict guidelines or controls that count, but freedom, inspiration and joie de vivre. Because for us it's about the love of what we do. This is how we act as Schrozberg dairy farmers and we are stubborn. Discover what makes Schrozberg dairy farmers so diverse and unique. Some say about us Schrozberg dairy farmers "it couldn't be more stubborn". Because you can see what we are doing and what effort we are making. We always say “Out of passion, stubborn”, because everything we do, we do because we are convinced that it is good for the quality of our products, good for the well-being of our animals and good for people and nature therefore in 1974 we were one of the first dairies to start processing Demeter milk. We are now the largest Demeter dairy in Germany. For us this means that we make a large part of our feed ourselves, give the animals the horns and practice holistic circular agriculture. But we also do a lot of things differently in processing in the dairy, be it the more complex long-term acidification or that we only use extracts if they also come from the eponymous fruit. And so that we can continue to do so, we remain a cooperative that exclusively in in the hands of us Schrozberg dairy farmers. We use it to determine how “fair” our milk price is and what we invest in the dairy. And are independent of the interests of banks and shareholders. From this point of view, we are a little proud when some say it couldn't be more stubborn:

Stubborn out of passion!
We have been relying entirely on Demeter for dairy farmers in Schrozberg since 1974, which means that we only process Demeter milk that has been produced on our own farms. But also when it comes to processing, we comply exclusively with the Demeter guidelines and adhere to additional, strict quality requirements. This is good for our animals, the environment - and above all for the quality of our products - we think you can taste it.
