About us :
We are a traditional dairy from Horst (near Elmshorn) consisting of 18 employees. We are a member of "Feinheimisch" the network for the promotion of regional food culture in Schleswig-Holstein and do not work for quick profit, but sustainable and grandchildren. With us, the delivered raw milk from the region, without genetic engineering and from species-appropriate animal husbandry, is gently turned into traditional and high-quality products for the region. The cows that produce our raw milk are out on the pasture all summer long. Cows that graze on pasture in a species-appropriate manner generally produce less milk with greater fluctuations in quantity and ingredients, but the cows with exercise are healthier and more resilient and can express their urge to move. The cows that produce our milk are on farms and pastures in the immediate vicinity of the dairy. The routes of raw milk are kept short, which has a positive effect on the CO2 balance.
