KG, mainly hair nets, hairstyle veils, hairstyle caps and hair pads were produced and sold through hairdressing wholesalers at home and abroad. As early as 1950, the company produced the first fine hair nets Perlon threads on Raschel machines. In the years 1952/54, various important inventions for the manufacture and development of hairnets were patented and secured worldwide. At this time the production program was expanded and hairdressing capes, shower caps, hairbands and knot pads were added to the range. 1959? 10 years after the company was founded in Helmstedt? On January 1st, 1959, Solida moved into its newly built company building at Emmerstedter Straße 30, and in 1960 Solida AG was founded in Kreuzlingen / Switzerland. The range is expanded accordingly with many new products, design and the needs of fashion and the season. At the end of the 1960s, wigs and hairpieces, fashionable hair accessories and made-up textile products were added to the sales range. In 1970, the administration was reorganized and switched to electronic data processing. In 1971, the production capacity was increased significantly with the acquisition of several high-performance machines. The demand for Solida products is growing continuously. In the mid-1970s, the company was working on plans to expand the plant, which was completed in the 1st section in 1978 and in the 2nd section in 1988. This expansion of the company building gives the company the opportunity to expand its production and sales program again. Fashionable hair accessories, textile hairdressing equipment, tennis strings, mosquito nets, textile product and head protection are now part of the expanded range of products and services. New sales channels and systems are successfully set up and implemented. In addition to the hairdressing needs, a new sales channel is opened via perfumeries and department stores and is being used successfully; Self-service sales stands and walls are designed, which are professionally looked after by field staff in rack jobbing. To complete the department store range, in addition to the existing standard range (hair nets, hairstyle hoods and veils, hair accessories, etc.), other items such as curlers, hairbrushes, combs, fashionable hair articles, etc. were added to the range.
