Today, increased environmental awareness and safety culture characterize people's handling radioactivity. Wherever radioactive sources are handled or radioactivity has to be detected or measured, dosemeters and dose rate meters are used.
For nearly 70 years GRAETZ is designing, manufacturing and marketing portable, battery-operated dose rate measuring and alarm devices as well as dosemeters and alarm devices for the measurement and detection of alpha, beta and gamma radiation for personal radiation protection as well as stationary room monitors.

We have a calibration installation for radiation measuring instruments in our works, equipped with several radiation sources up to 16.7 TBq (450 Ci) Cs-137 to calibrate our products as well as a special department for repairing radioactively contaminated instruments - both officially licensed .
In September 1995, we introduced a quality management system acc. to DIN EN ISO 9001 which has been certified acc. to DIN EN ISO 9001: 2015 in July 2009.
We are also working with a quality system acc. to NATO requirements (AQAP 2105, AQAP 2130). In 2004, we achieved the ATEX certification (EC-type examination for equipment and components intended for the use in potentially explosive atmospheres), now acc. to DIN EN ISO / IEC 80079-34: 2012 (directive 94/9 / EC).
