  • About us :

Pyramid Computer GmbH develops and produces IT solutions for the areas of network technology, network security, industrial PCs and industrial image processing. The company also develops and produces self-service solutions (kiosk systems). With its self-service solutions for the catering industry, Pyramid Computer GmbH is the largest provider in this area worldwide.
In 2011, in cooperation with 3M, the company brought the world's first large-format multi-touch system to market maturity. In addition to the practical development work, the company conducted research with the Fraunhofer Institute for Industrial Engineering and Organization in Stuttgart on the subjects of automation and graphical user interfaces (GUI). In doing so, the company expanded the range of applications for self-service solutions based on projective capacitive touchscreens. In 1998, Pyramid Computer emerged with BenHur, the world's first LINUX-operated multifunctional communication server, and in 2004 as a hardware supplier for the Maßate, the only firewall , which at the time was classified by the Federal Office for Information Security (BSI) as Highly Restistant according to the international CC standard. In 2008 Pyramid Computer was involved in the construction of ATLAS, a mainframe computer (Gigabit Ethernet cluster) for the Albert Einstein Institute (Hanover), which researched with him on the theory of gravitational waves. At the time of its commissioning, ATLAS was ranked 68th among the Top500 of the fastest computers in the world with a performance of 32.8 teraflops.
