Amir Kabir Khazar Steel Company was established to produce concrete ribbed bars in order to cover the shortage of steel material of the local market in the private sector.
The factory received statuary permissions form Gilan Province Industry and Mine Organization in 2002 and the company was registered with No. 209784 in a land of 15 hectare.
The area is built up with 27000 Square Meter production saloon and 400 Square Meter warehouse in Lakan Rahst Industrial town.
The initial feasibility was carried out for a rolling mill for the capacity of 500,000 MT of steel ribbed bars by experienced indigenous technicians and two years later in 2004 the mill commenced production. The factory has been running since then with 400 local personnel continuously and has obtained OHSAS2008, ISO18001:2007, ISO14001, ISO9001:2004 within 5 years.
Amir Kabir Khazar Steel Company has expanded its market from Iran to the neighboring countries by exporting rebars to Afghanistan & Iraq in recent years. Further in line with the expansion policies and having a bigger share of the market, we launched another state-of-the-art rolling mill with a capacity of 250,000 MT at the same site which was inaugurated by Mr. Vice President (Dr. Novbakhtat) in mid 2013. The recent production unit is capable of producing the rebars form size 8 to 32 and has directly employed 200 personnel. All in all , Amir Kabir Steel Company’s share of employments has been 600 direct jobs and 3000 indirect jobs in the region.
