Our fine-spicy pepper cheese is an extraordinary cheese specialty with jungle pepper. The traditional artisanal production and the finely tuned maturation ensure a unique character that combines with the jungle pepper to form an elegant symbiosis. During its maturing period of at least three months, it is regularly cared for with salt water. This combination develops an excellent taste that impresses with its finely fruity sharpness. The creamy, yellow cheese paste is infused with freshly ground green and black peppercorns from southern India. The jungle pepper is grown by small farming communities of producers who cultivate their native pepper varieties in old, traditional spice gardens. This means a lower yield, but an all the more full-bodied aroma. Just the right thing for our extraordinarily characterful pepper cheese.
The pepper cheese was awarded the "cheese cum laude" certificate in 2018 by the association for artisanal milk processing. This year, the pepper cheese received the Gold Quality Award 2019/2020.
