A venerable castle, extensive estates, legends that go back to the 11th century - this is the world of the noble «Château Heitenried», a legendary delicacy from the Heitenried cheese dairy.
Gentle hills, lush pastures rich in strong herbs, in the background an imposing mountain panorama with the majestic peaks of the Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau. The stately Château Heitenried is enthroned on a hill, at the foot of the cheese factory with the cheese cellars of Lustenberger & Dürst SA.
The early lords of the castle blessed the fertile soil with prosperity and security. Their times may have passed, but the fertile soil has remained. Today, 60 small farms from the area deliver fresh milk to the cheese dairy every day. The legendary Château Heitenried is created in the reddish smear bark according to old craftsmanship. A real treat, full of flavor, rich in character, tender and creamy in the dough.
