Bloodroot is the star among the Penninger specialties and its popularity extends far beyond Bavaria's borders. Once the high-proof herbal liqueur has caught fire, it shines in a deep blue and also likes to conquer women's hearts, who particularly appreciate its harmonious taste.
Finely chopped tormentil roots give the Bavarian herbal liqueur its reddish colour. Prepared in finely burned alcohol, the essential oils and bitter substances are gently extracted from the roots and herbs. These extracts are then mixed into a herbal liqueur.
