The Frießinger Mühle was founded in Kirchberg an der Murr in 1859 and the company is still run by the Frießinger family to this day. After the old Frießinger mill in Kirchberg fell victim to a major fire in 1987, the company bought the site in Bad Wimpfen in 1988, the former "Brand-Purina-Kraftfutterwerk" which had gone bankrupt. The Frießinger mill was quickly expanded into a powerful industrial mill. From the beginning of 150 tons, the daily capacity was increased to over 500 tons by 2002 to over 800 tons of grain, currently mainly from regional cultivation. With around 30 double roller mills and six plansifters, a large range of over 1000 different products is manufactured, not just classic grinding products such as B. special flours for bakeries and large industrial companies, but also convenience products, both under the house brand Küchenmeister and as customer-specific own brands. Frießinger Mühle is connected to supra-regional logistics flows via the nearby A 6 and its own ship loading point on the Neckar and has its own fleet of vehicles of 16 trucks. On the Neckar, the company has a bran pelletizing facility to enable dust-free ship transport. Currently (May 2017) the company is building another state-of-the-art flour mill with an additional capacity of 400 tons.
